Terms of Service

Last Updated: July 2, 2026  ·  Questions? support@commandmuscle.com

Please read these Terms carefully before using Command Muscle Memory. By accessing or using Command Muscle Memory, you agree to these Terms of Service and acknowledge that our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
01

Who We Are

Command Muscle Memory ("the Service") is operated by Bent On Simple Solutions, LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), doing business as Command Muscle Memory, at commandmuscle.com. References to "you" or "your" mean the individual accessing or using the Service.

02

What the Service Is

Command Muscle Memory is a web-based Linux command-line training application. It provides scenario-based command recall drills, tiered practice (Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced), and adaptive repetition exercises designed to build command-line muscle memory through active practice.

The Service is a training and practice tool. Completion of exercises does not guarantee any particular skill level, job readiness, employment outcome, certification, exam result, professional achievement, promotion, or hiring result.

03

No Guarantee of Results

Command Muscle Memory is an educational training tool designed to help users practice command-line concepts and improve repetition-based recall. We do not guarantee that use of the Service will result in certification, employment, job placement, promotion, exam passage, professional advancement, or any specific learning outcome.

04

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you represent that you have obtained parental or guardian consent. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.

05

Account Registration

To access the Service, you must register an account with a valid email address and password. You are responsible for:

(a) maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials;
(b) all activity that occurs under your account;
(c) notifying us immediately at support@commandmuscle.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

Account access is personal and non-transferable. You may not share, sell, or transfer your account to any other person.

06

Account Deletion and Loss of Access

If you request deletion of your account, you may lose access to the Service, including purchase history, progress history, saved training data, and lifetime-access records associated with that account. Account deletion may be permanent and may not be reversible. Certain transaction records may be retained as required for legal, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, or compliance purposes.

07

Educational Use Only

The Service is provided for educational and practice purposes only. The commands, scenarios, examples, and explanations are intended to support learning and repetition. You are responsible for applying commands appropriately in real systems, production environments, work environments, lab environments, or exam settings.

08

User Responsibility

You are responsible for how you use the training material, commands, examples, and practice scenarios provided through the Service. You agree not to misuse the Service, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with the Service, or use the Service for unlawful, harmful, or abusive purposes.

09

Payment and Access

Access to Command Muscle Memory currently requires a one-time payment of $4.99 USD ("Founder Lifetime Access"), unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase. All payments are processed securely through Stripe, Inc. We do not receive or store your full credit card number, CVV, or full payment credentials. Stripe may provide us with limited transaction-related information needed to confirm purchases, manage refunds, prevent fraud, and maintain records. Stripe's handling of your payment data is governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.

Upon successful payment, you are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes. All prices are in U.S. dollars unless otherwise stated. You are responsible for any applicable taxes, fees, currency conversion charges, or other charges imposed by your jurisdiction, bank, card issuer, or payment provider.

One purchase, one account: Founder Lifetime Access applies to a single individual user account only. It does not cover multiple users, shared use, group use, classroom use, use by a business, team, classroom, or group as a shared account, or access by any person other than the account holder who completed the purchase. Allowing another person to use your account credentials to access the Service (whether to avoid payment or for any other reason) is not permitted and may result in suspension or termination of your account.

Lifetime Access defined: If the Service is offered as a one-time purchase, Founder Lifetime Access, or lifetime-access product, "lifetime access" means access for the lifetime of the Command Muscle Memory product, subject to these Terms, account status, technical availability, and any lawful modification, suspension, discontinuation, or material change to the Service. "Lifetime" refers to the operational life of the product, not the user's personal lifetime. Founder Lifetime Access remains subject to these Terms, reasonable use, product availability, account standing, and compliance with account security and access rules.

Future separate offerings: Command Muscle Memory may offer separate future products, services, team plans, enterprise plans, coaching, premium labs, advanced modules, or other paid offerings from time to time. Founder Lifetime Access applies only to the Command Muscle Memory product access described at the time of purchase and does not automatically include any separate future offerings unless expressly stated at the time those offerings are made available.

10

Promotions and Pricing Changes

We may offer promotions, discounts, free trials, coupons, early-access pricing, Founder Access pricing, or different pricing from time to time. Promotional offers may be limited, modified, or discontinued at any time. Price changes do not affect completed purchases unless stated otherwise.

11

Refund Policy

We stand behind Command Muscle Memory. If you are not satisfied, here is exactly how refunds work:

Refund window: You may request a full refund within 5 calendar days of your original purchase date and time, except where a longer refund period is required by applicable law.

How to request: Email support@commandmuscle.com with your purchase confirmation or the email address used at checkout. No lengthy explanation is required.

Processing time: Approved refunds are submitted through Stripe to the original payment method when available. Refund timing may vary depending on Stripe, your bank, card issuer, or payment provider, but refunds commonly take 5–10 business days after approval.

After 5 calendar days: All sales are final, except where a refund is required by applicable law. Because Command Muscle Memory is a digital product with immediate access upon purchase, refunds are not available after the 5-day window has closed, except where required by applicable law, regardless of usage, login frequency, or account status.

The refund clock starts at the date and time of purchase, not the first login date. Requests submitted more than 5 calendar days after purchase are not eligible for a refund, except where required by applicable law.

12

(h) probe, scan, test, bypass, or attempt to bypass the security, authentication, rate limits, payment controls, paywall, or access controls of the Service;

(i) upload, transmit, introduce, or attempt to introduce viruses, malware, harmful code, or other disruptive material.

Violation of these restrictions may result in suspension or termination of your account without refund, subject to applicable law.

14

Availability and Changes to the Service

We may modify, update, suspend, limit, replace, or discontinue the Service, or any feature, content, command category, question, practice mode, pricing, or functionality, from time to time. While we intend to maintain the Service long-term and make reasonable efforts to avoid disrupting paid access, we do not guarantee permanent availability of the Service or any specific feature, training item, or content item.

15

Support and Maintenance

We may provide customer support through support@commandmuscle.com, but we do not guarantee any specific response time, resolution, feature request, compatibility fix, or availability of support. We may perform updates, maintenance, bug fixes, or service changes from time to time, which may temporarily affect access to the Service.

16

Third-Party Services

The Service may rely on third-party providers for payment processing, hosting, authentication, email delivery, database storage, security monitoring, analytics, error diagnostics, or other operational needs. We are not responsible for third-party services, websites, policies, outages, or actions, except as required by applicable law.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, VIRUS-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT ANY DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS.

18

Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, Bent On Simple Solutions, LLC AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES) ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, our total cumulative liability to you for any and all claims arising from or related to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to access the Service during the twelve months before the claim arose, or $4.99 USD, whichever is greater.

19

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Bent On Simple Solutions, LLC, doing business as Command Muscle Memory, and its owners, officers, directors, employees, contractors, service providers, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from or related to: (a) your use or misuse of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any law or third-party rights; or (d) your unauthorized copying, scraping, sharing, resale, or misuse of Service content.

20

Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service if a user violates these Terms, misuses the Service, attempts unauthorized access, engages in fraudulent activity, or creates risk for the Service, other users, or the business.

Upon termination for cause, no refund will be issued, except where required by applicable law. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of any such action unless prohibited from doing so by law or where notice would create security, fraud, legal, or operational risk.

21

User Feedback

If you submit feedback, suggestions, ideas, corrections, feature requests, command suggestions, scenario ideas, or recommendations about the Service, you grant Bent On Simple Solutions, LLC permission to use, modify, publish, implement, commercialize, or otherwise exploit that feedback without restriction, attribution, or compensation to you.

22

Early Access and Pre-Launch Access

If you access early access, preview, test, or pre-launch versions of the Service, you understand that those versions may be incomplete, contain errors, include temporary features, produce inaccurate results, or change before public release. We may modify or remove beta, preview, test, or pre-launch features at any time. Your use of any beta, preview, test, or pre-launch version is subject to all applicable terms in this agreement.

23

Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice by email, by posting a prominent notice on the Service, or by another legally appropriate method before the changes take effect when required by applicable law. Changes made for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or operational reasons may take effect sooner.

Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes your acceptance of those changes. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service. Refunds, if any, will be handled according to the Refund Policy in effect at the time of your purchase or as required by applicable law.

24

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, United States, except where applicable law provides otherwise. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Texas, except where applicable law provides otherwise.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining Terms shall remain in full force and effect.

We will not be responsible for delays, interruptions, failures, or inability to perform caused by events outside our reasonable control, including internet outages, hosting failures, cyberattacks, labor disputes, natural disasters, acts of government, war, emergencies, payment-processor outages, third-party service outages, or other events beyond our control.

28
